Skills for a resilient youth in the era of COVID-19 and beyond

Focusing on resilience, World Youth Skills Day 2020 takes stock of the impact of the COVID-19 crisis on skills development and explores strategies in response to the unfolding economic crisis. Join us for this virtual event that brings together young people, UN Member States, TVET institutions, the private sector, workers’ organizations, policy makers and development partners. RSVP here.

Our colleague Ronald Ddungu - education advisor in Uganda, champion of agri-entrepreneurship and 2015 Global Teacher Prize nominee - is invited as a speaker on the panel 'Skills for Economic Resilience and Post-COVID-19 Recovery' at 5 pm CEST. Ronald's presentation at this high-level event comes a week after VVOB's official commitment to ILO's Decent Jobs for Youth Global Initiative.

Tune in to listen to Ronald's thoughts on the role agricultural education can play for COVID-19 recovery; the importance of connecting youth with inspiring mentors through technology (for now); and soft skills development for resilience.
