Our Approach to Partnerships
In Vietnam, VVOB works hand in hand with government partners. We don’t build parallel systems; we strengthen what already exists. Together, we design professional development programmes that fit national and provincial structures as well as higher education structures, so trainee teachers, teachers, lecturers and school leaders receive support that lasts. Our approach is built on mutual learning, evidence that works in practice, and reforms that endure beyond any single project.
Government Partners
The Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) is our closest partner in shaping sustainable reforms in early childhood and primary education.
We also partner with the provincial Departments of Education and Training (DOETs) – including Hà Giang, Quảng Trị, Gia Lai, Quảng Ngai and Kon Tum – implementing professional development and curriculum reform.
Collaborating Partners
Academic and technical institutions we partner with include:
- Vietnam National Institute of Educational Sciences (VNIES) – research and evidence on teaching and learning, advocacy and policy reform.
- Hanoi National University of Education (HNUE), Ho Chi Minh City University of Education (HCMUE), Hue University of Education (HUEdu), Thai Nguyen University of Education (TNUE) and Da Nang University of Science and Education (UD-UED) – co-developing materials and training for teachers and school leaders.
- Education University of Hong Kong (ECE-EDUHK) – contributing international expertise on early childhood education.
- Karel de Grote University College (KdG) – contributing international expertise on early childhood education.
- Catholic Education Flanders (KOV) – contributing international expertise on pedagogical school leadership.
