Guide on Learning through Play at Primary School - Part 1

This guide supports teachers and school leaders in Vietnam to integrate learning through play into primary education. Developed under the iPLAY project—a collaboration between VVOB and the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET)—the publication provides practical insights, sample lesson plans, and a checklist to help educators make play a meaningful part of classroom learning.

Informed by the 2018 General Education Programme, the guide promotes innovation in teaching and assessment practices to strengthen learners’ engagement, creativity, and foundational skills. It introduces learning through play principles and methods aligned with national education goals, illustrating how play can enhance both academic outcomes and student wellbeing.

For teachers, school leaders, and education officials, this guide offers evidence-based, practical tools to embed playful learning in the curriculum and promote joyful, effective classrooms that prepare children for lifelong learning.
