Manual for Planning and Managing Technical Training Projects in Schools

This manual provides practical guidance for teachers and coordinators in Ecuador’s technical upper secondary education system on designing, planning, and managing institutional productive projects (proyectos institucionales productivos de jornada). Developed under the Programa de Educación y Formación Técnica y Profesional, it supports the implementation of competency-based technical education that connects classroom learning with productive and entrepreneurial activities.

The manual explains how to structure projects that develop students’ technical, social, and management skills while fostering innovation and local economic engagement. It offers templates for project planning, budgeting, and evaluation, and includes examples aligned with the Ministry of Education’s national technical education framework.
