VVOB’s Gender Policy reflects our commitment to quality education for all. We know that harmful gender stereotypes and discrimination block learners’ potential and weaken education systems. By embedding gender-transformative pedagogy into our programmes and partnerships, we help create schools where all learners can thrive, safe, inclusive, and free from bias. 

As an organisation, we also commit to gender equity in the workplace. This is mainstreamed in VVOB’s internal policies and included in our global priorities. We have dedicated roles to ensure action and strong follow-up and facilitate internal learning and exchange to reinforce this organisation-wide culture of gender equity.  

With respect for local policies, people and planet, VVOB’s Climate Change & Environmental Sustainability Policy makes sustainability a central part of our work. We take responsibility for reducing our own footprint and we support ministries of education to integrate sustainability into curricula and school environments. In doing so, we help learners build the skills they need for a greener, more equitable future.

Internally, we work closely as a global communication team to embed our standards into our daily practices. We support each other with practical resources and learning sessions to build skills and ownership across the organisation. Strengthening our communication is part of our continuous improvement as well as part of how we lead with integrity, amplify the voices we work with, and reinforce our commitment to quality education for every learner. 

VVOB has a zero-tolerance position on bribery and corruption. Our anti-bribery policy applies to all employees, consultants, subgrantees, subcontractors, trainees, seconded staff, home workers, casual workers, agency staff, volunteers, interns, board members, agents, sponsors, or any other person or persons associated with VVOB (including third parties), no matter where they are located. We remain committed to upholding all laws relating to anti-bribery and corruption in all the jurisdictions in which we operate.
