Dignifying, diversifying and valorizing the profession

The 14th Policy Dialogue Forum will investigate common challenges leading to teacher shortages, how to tackle them through effective policies, and explore future transformative strategies to validate and reinforce the teaching profession.

This year's theme is timely and important as teacher shortages remain a complex and persistent obstacle to achieving global education objectives. The Forum will bring together international education stakeholders in person and online, to exchange ideas and explore policy options and recommendations for ministries, civil society organizations, international organizations, and donors that support teachers, school leaders, teacher educators, and policymakers. The event will showcase the launches of the first Teacher Task Force & UNESCO Global Report on Teachers and the Recommendations of the UNSG High-Level Panel of the Steering Committee.

VVOB partakes in a panel highlighting the need to empower and equip newly qualified teachers as a key ingredient to addressing teacher shortages.
