Covid-19 has brought complex challenges to our education systems. They must address the massive learning losses caused by school disruptions, the socio-emotional fallout of the pandemic among learners and their communities, and find new ways to support teachers to deal with such challenges in a changed reality. Unsurprisingly, this also challenges organisations supporting education system transformation, forcing them to reassess the needs of partner systems and their relationships with governments and other education system actors. The panel will share experiences of STiR Education (India), VVOB (Vietnam) and The LEGO Foundation (South Africa) on how they dealt with these new realities and how this has impacted their relationships with government education actors. The Delhi Government (India) will also share their perspective on the matter. Together, the panellists will address of how governments, development partners and funders are creating a new "future of philanthropies".
