ICSEI Virtual Congress 2022

Globally, the pandemic has exposed major disparities in education within and between countries. At the same time, education systems were prompted to engage with imagining new possibilities. ICSEI 2022 addresses how we can collaborate across roles, sectors, communities, and countries to ensure educational equity, quality and sustainability across the globe, focussing on the following sub-themes:

1. Developing leadership practices and capabilities across systems and boundaries that emphasise equity, quality, and sustainability
2. Building systems that promote educational equity and remove the causes of inequity
3. Fostering (digital) collaboration across multiple disciplines, roles and/or sectors to improve outcomes for children and youth
4. Using data and evidence in schools and education systems to enhance equity and quality
5. Identifying means and methods through which we can create and share knowledge about educational effectiveness, improvement and innovation
6. Enhancing equity, quality and sustainability from the early years onwards 

VVOB contributes to a panel (TBA) after a successful submission titled 'Equipping Educators of Young Children in South Africa with Competences to Create a Gender-Responsive Environment' under sub-theme 6 in collaboration with the Department of Basic Education, South Africa.
