Last week, the documentary "Music by Prudence" received the Oscar for best short documentary. This documentary tells the story of the Zimbabwean Prudence Mabhena. Prudence has a physical disability and had a rough time growing up. But at the King George VI School and Centre for Children with Physical Disabilities she develops her singing talents and flourishes...

Is it strange that VVOB reports about the Oscars? Not quite. VVOB Zimbabwe has a partnership with the King George VI School: next year they provide internships for Flemish students (see Summary Internships). Furthermore, King George VI School is one of the southern schools that have signed up to start a school link with a Flemish school (see list southern schools). We look forward to this documentary, which will be distributed in May.
