On November 13th 2013, five new curricula for the technical agricultural education in the DR Congo were officially launched. Numerous senior officials attended the ceremony; e.g. the Minister and the Vice-Minister of Education and a delegation of the senior management of the Ministry of Education. The ceremony is a landmark in the cooperation with among others VVOB to increase the quality of technical agricultural education in the DR Congo.

The technical agricultural education programme of VVOB assists the 1,250 technical agricultural schools of the DR Congo with among others the introduction and application of new curricula. For this they use a competency-based approach. A concrete realisation takes shape in this launch of five new curricula by the Ministry of Education. They concern the lesson plans for the specialisations Agriculture and Forestry, Animal production, Agricultural machinery, Processing of agricultural products, and Horticulture.
