The 'Quality Education and Vulnerability Programme' supports student groups such as peer educator clubs and environmental clubs in all teacher education colleges of Zimbabwe. They can address vulnerability issues through co-curricular activities in the colleges and outreach activities in neighbouring communities.

Student support structures of the colleges, such as the HIV/AIDS coordinating teams and health and life skills departments, use various 'scenarios' to assist student teachers to develop specific attitudes and skills to address vulnerability issues. These scenarios provide detailed suggestions of participatory sessions that can be used with peer educators and student teachers. They were developed by teacher education colleges and VVOB Zimbabwe. Recently they were bundled in the toolkit 'Nzira Yeupenyu. Indlela Yempilo. A guide to participatory life skills development'.
