Last year Klasse visited VVOB Ecuador. Journalist Elke Broothaerts went to several schools with the video camera at the ready. Maks! recently premiered her first report: a moving story about two students in teacher training.
"Alexa (21) and Johana (22) were born in Colombia. They fled the country because it became too dangerous: their father was murdered by the guerrillas. Now they live as refugees in Ecuador. They have enrolled in the teacher training and try to make something of their lives. 'People discriminate us based on our origin,' says Alexa. "
