UNGEI Global Working Group to end SRGBV: symposium
At this invitation-only symposium, members of the working group to end school-related gender-based violence organised by the UN Girls' Education Initiative share initiatives and decide on next steps to ensure that schools remain safe places for learning and that girls and boys have the opportunity to acquire the knowledge, skills and resources they need to reach their potential.
The Global Working Group is comprised of more than 30 of the leading international agencies, civil society organisations and institutions promoting girls’ education and gender equality. This is the first time VVOB will partake as its newest member. It is co-hosted by the United Nations Girls’ Education Initiative (UNGEI) and UNESCO, with funding from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
