On 21 October, VVOB's eNSPIRED programme presents the results of an international literature study on professional learning communities with stories from everyday practice.

VVOB's literature study and eNSPIRED webinar consider the following questions:

  • How are PLCs defined?
  • How and by whom are PLCs initiated?
  • Are PLCs effective as an instrument for the professional development of teachers and/or school leaders?
  • Are effective PLCs sustainable?
  • Are PLCs costly?
  • What advice can we give to policymakers for each of the above questions?

You will find the answers to these questions during this webinar. Hereafter, three inspiring practices from Rwanda, South Africa and Uganda are presented, each practice focusing on a specific aspect or characteristic of PLCs.
